Living in China I’ve learned you have to be aggressive with everything. If there’s a 5 inch gap between you and the person in front of you while in the queue, you better fill that gap or someone will slip in there and cut in front of you. Elbows and boxing people out basketball style are perfectly normal defenses against this. I’m used to it. But what really annoys me is going to Carrefour (French version of Wal-Mart), putting some really good chewy Chips-Ahoy in your shopping cart, only to come home and find that someone took them out of there! I was really hoping for those chewy Chips-Ahoy! I only left my shopping cart alone for a minute or two and didn’t realize it had been nicked. I checked my receipt and didn’t purchase it. Someone really did take them. Lesson learned.
